Next Steps

The Best is Yet to Come

As you grow in your faith, you might start to wonder, “What’s next?”

Attending church on Sundays is great (and we’re so glad you’re here!), but the Christian life is so much more: joyful community, discipleship, service, fun (yes, FUN!), and growth. Maybe your next step is joining a small group. Maybe it looks like volunteering as a greeter on Sundays or helping with property maintenance. Maybe God’s been nudging your heart to get baptized. If you’re ready to dive in, even if you aren’t quite sure what your next steps should be, we’d love to walk alongside you.

Baptism

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

- Romans 6:4

Baptism is an important act of obedience to the Lordship of Christ for every believer. It’s an outward symbol of your inward commitment and illustrates Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Scriptural baptism is by immersion only.

Raised to life. Made new. Death defeated.

This is life-changing.

Join a Team

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

- Mark 10:45

Got Questions?

How do I start serving?

Incredible life change takes place all week long through our ministries. But here’s the thing: we need you! Your story matters, and your unique personality could be the key to others discovering the radical grace of God, as well. Finding the right team is important - we want you to serve where God is calling you to use your gifts! Click here to get in touch so we can find the perfect place for you, or fill out a Connection Card on Sunday and drop it in an offering box.

Why should I get baptized?

While baptism is not a requirement for salvation, it’s often one of the most exciting moments for new believers. For many, the act of baptism is when they’re finally able to lean into their faith and commit to a life walking with Jesus. And we as a church can’t wait to celebrate with you! We also encourage new believers to invite their family and friends as well.

When should I get baptized?

Scriptural baptism is for those who call Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. While there’s no “set” age, anyone who chooses to be baptized should be old enough to understand their decision.

Am I too old to get baptized?

Maybe you’re new to this whole “church thing” and aren’t quite sure whether getting baptized is the right next step. Or, maybe you’ve been a Christ-follower for decades but have never made the decision to be baptized. Wherever you are in your walk with Jesus, Pastor Lyndon or one of our elders would be happy to help with any questions. But as long as you still have breath in your lungs, it’s never too late!
